photographybyarienne.com: About Me

My love of photography began over 10 years ago. Although I primarily focus on nature and wildlife photography, I also volunteer my time to do publicity photography for a local community theater.

Nature has always held a strong place in my heart and I find myself constantly drawn to the colors and contrasts that exist in nature. I enjoy the challenge of trying to be at the right place under the right conditions, watching the elements come together to form a stunning image of the world we live in.

My most thrilling photographic adventure was in 2001, when I had the opportunity to spend a week in the Peruvian rainforest. There’s nothing like rowing down a tributary of the Amazon River in a dugout canoe, knowing that you are completely surrounded by nature. My only regret is that I didn’t bring more than 28 rolls of film with me. Now that I have made the switch over to digital, I am yearning to go back again.
